A study in nuances and location. The Seasonal Trio is a way to explore different combinations of coffees be it three coffees from the same country, a regional overview, or a varietal comparison. The current trio will focuses on different communities in the Caranavi growing region of Bolivia; Illimani, Copacabana, and Taypiplaya.

Bolivia only produces around 40,000 bags of coffee a year, so I feel lucky to get taste anything from this country. There is new interest in coffee farming as a living in younger generations, which is a new and exciting change of direction for most of South America. Caranavi has all of the right conditions for the cultivation of coffee and this trio shows a range of possibility in the coffees of Bolivia.   All three lot are blends of Typica and Catuai variatals.

• Copacabana - 1550masl; Chocolate, Blackberry, Cream

• Taypiplaya - 1400masl; Pear, Buckwheat, Toffee
