This is the Coffee roaster

The art of roasting is about the relationship between the roaster, the machine, and the quality of the bean.

All of the roasting happens in a 1953 BARTH 3.5k Novo Cito cast iron tabletop drum coffee roaster in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The Germán engineering of this antique roaster is not only esthetically pleasing but is interactively fun to operate.

Outside of a timer, a gas gauge, and an exit air thermometer, this machine relies on interaction and the use of senses to determine its position in the development process.

The beauty is in the present moment and there’s nothing better than to get lost in a moment with a coffee.
